Hi All! I’m the kind of person who needs to have a task to complete and a To-Do List at all times, so I’m really excited to get started with DS106 because I’ve felt pretty aimless since summer started.
I didn’t have much of a problem setting up any of my accounts for #ds106 , but I was probably most confident in setting up a Twitter account, as I have used Twitter in the past, though I do not currently use it.
At least I'm pretty confident with my abilities on Twitter… #ds106

I’m a Spotify loyalist and I’ve been using it for far longer than most people. My premium account is one expense that I would never dream of cutting out. So it’s taking me some time to get used to Soundcloud and accept the sense of betrayal I’m feeling towards Spotify. On that note here’s the song that’s been stuck in my head for going on 2 weeks. Through Soundcloud… not Spotify this feels so wrong.
I have not used Flickr in the past and was pretty annoyed that I had to create a Yahoo account in order to create an account. Can you say monopoly? Not going to lie if I didn’t need the Flickr for this class that would have turned me off right then and there. I figured I’d try to pick a picture that shows just how dead campus can be over the summer. Because even though it’s summer I’m on campus literally all the time either volunteering my time for different organizations or working as I currently complete this post from behind the Info Desk at the UC (shhh).
There are people who live to spend time watching videos on YouTube and I am not one of those people. The extent to which I use YouTube is to watch Buzzfeed videos and that only ever really happens when my roommate pulls them up. Oh, and when people like Taylor Swift pull their music off Spotify.
Overall I’m pretty happy with how easily using all these different platforms came to me, because I know it could have been pretty rough. I’m excited to go ahead and get a move on with this class and the WordPress skills alone are going to help me a lot in the future.
